Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist

Physician-led multi-specialty private practice group in Appleton, WI seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible full-time PM&R physician with a strong interventional spine focus. This is a full-time W-2 employed position with a clear future opportunity for partnership including ancillary revenue streams such as ambulatory surgery center (ASC), imaging, and physical therapy (PT) for the right candidate. The role offers a procedure-forward, spine-heavy practice with consistent volume, efficient clinic operations, and strong clinical support—allowing physicians to focus on high-quality interventional spine care.

Position Highlights:

  • Fellowship training in Interventional Spine or Pain Medicine preferred, not required

Radiologic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.

Hours: Mondays (5 hours)

Duties:

  • Perform various imaging procedures, including X-rays and fluoroscopy.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations related to radiation exposure.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.

Skills Needed:

  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic radiology techniques, including X-ray and fluoroscopy.
  • Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols as they relate to imaging services.
  • Ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate image capture and patient safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address technical issues during procedures.

Authorization Specialist

The Patient Care Coordinator (Authorization Specialist) plays a pivotal role in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and seamless care throughout their healthcare journey. This position involves obtaining prior authorization for services and providing essential support to both patients and healthcare providers, coordinating patient services, and managing appointments. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a background in a medical office setting, enabling them to effectively navigate the complexities of patient care. This is a full-time position.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Obtains precertification/preauthorization from the patient’s insurance carrier for initial appointments and procedures, and counsels patients on insurance guidelines to maximize benefits.
  • Answers backup incoming telephone calls, determines the purpose of callers, and routes calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Supplies information to callers about the clinic and providers, including appointment verification.
  • Schedules patient appointments with NSC providers, ancillary tests, treatments, and associated evaluations as appropriate; confirms upcoming schedules, releases unused block times, and maintains timely and accurate documentation in EPIC.

Clinical Orthopedic Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time Clinical Orthopedic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the examination, treatment, and follow-up care of orthopedic patients under the direction of the physician. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional orthopedic care while advancing your skills in a dynamic clinical setting.

Experience:

  • Medical Assistant graduate or
  • Nursing Assistant or
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Experience with orthopedic or surgical clinic

Responsibilities:

  • Rooms orthopedic patients and obtains vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, height, weight, and allergies.
  • Obtains and documents detailed musculoskeletal history, injury mechanisms, post-operative status, and current symptoms in EPIC as directed by the physician.
  • Retrieves and prepares orthopedic imaging for provider review, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and CDs through the imaging import process prior to the patient visit.
  • Prepares exam rooms, orthopedic instruments, and supplies; assists the physician during orthopedic evaluations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Assists with injections, including preparation of medications per the physician’s orders.
  • Performs post-operative and orthopedic wound care, including dressing changes and removal of steri-strips, sutures, and staples under physician supervision.
  • Supports fitting, application, and patient education for orthopedic braces, splints, slings, and durable medical equipment as directed.
  • Maintains patient comfort and safety, including assisting with transfers and positioning.
  • Educates patients and families on orthopedic conditions, treatment plans, post-procedure care, activity restrictions, and discharge instructions per physician direction.
  • Triage orthopedic patient phone calls, post-operative concerns, and urgent appointment requests; documents and communicates findings to the physician.
