Chris A. Thomas, MSN, APNP
Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in Stoughton, WI.
Chris A. Thomas, APNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in spine medicine, non-surgical orthopedics, and interventional pain management. He practices exclusively at the NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin’s Stoughton clinic, where he works closely with Interventional Spine Specialist Jared S. Greenberg, MD, to care for patients with neck and back pain, nerve-related symptoms, and a wide range of spine and joint conditions.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Edgewood College in Madison, graduating cum laude, and later completed his Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration at Herzing University. He is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is licensed in Wisconsin as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber (APNP).
Before joining NeuroSpine Center of Wisconsin, Chris practiced at UW Health in Madison, where he provided specialized care for patients with spine disorders. His clinical work focused on the diagnosis and management of arm, leg, and spinal nerve pain using a combination of conservative treatments and image-guided injections. His experience at a large academic medical center strengthened his ability to evaluate complex cases, coordinate multidisciplinary care, and guide patients through personalized treatment pathways.
At NeuroSpine Center, Chris brings more than sixteen years of broad nursing experience across pain management, orthopedics, and primary care. He is particularly committed to patient education—taking time to clearly explain diagnoses, discuss evidence-based treatment options, and ensure that each patient feels informed and supported. Chris recognizes that each individual’s experience with pain is unique, and he prioritizes developing tailored care plans that align with a patient’s goals, preferences, and lifestyle.
Chris is committed to delivering patient-centered, compassionate care. He values building strong, trusting relationships and empowering patients to take an active role in their health and recovery.
