Physiatry - also called Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation - is a branch of medicine that specializes in diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal and neurologic disease using non-surgical treatments. • Low back pain, buttock pain, hip pain, and sciatica
  • Neck and arm pain
  • Acute muscle and ligament injuries

  • Myofascial pain
  • Physiatrists take a thorough medical history of the patient, perform a complete physical exam, and pursue further testing if necessary including laboratory testing, x-rays, MRI scans, electromyography and nerve conduction studies, and psychological testing.
    The treatments offered may include:
  • Medications
